Corridor Running hosts the following events and races every year. Whatever your pace, Corridor Running has an event for you. Our races range from a 3.17K fun run in Iowa City, to the longest running 8K in the United States, to a rockin’ half-marathon in the New Bohemia arts and entertainment district of Cedar Rapids. Whether you walk a 15-minute mile or run a 5-minute mile or anything in between, join us at the start line and become a part of our local running community.

Saturday, Feb. 16th, 2019 (Marion)
The Freezefest 5k is a “must run” event for Eastern Iowans. Join hundreds of other runners and shake off the cabin fever. The Freezefest is a 5K Run & Walk on the roads within Squaw Creek Park in Marion, IA.
Saturday, Mar. 9th, 2019 (Iowa City)
Irish or not, everyone is welcome to join in St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. Run through the historic Northside Marketplace neighborhood of Iowa City in your best green get-up. Costumes are encouraged! With a distance of 3.17 km (approx. 2 miles) and 6.34 kM (approx. 4 miles), this is a race that’s accessible to runners of all ages and abilities.
Wednesday, July 4th, 2019 (Cedar Rapids)
Summer in Cedar Rapids isn’t complete without this Fourth of July tradition. With an 8K, 5K, and kids’ fun runs, the Fifth Seasons Races have become a rocket of enthusiasm, family fun, community involvement and fast times since its founding in 1986. They also attract some running VIPs — the 8K has been run by collegiate All Americans, NCAA Champions, Olympians and the winner of the Boston Marathon.
Sunday, Sep. 1st, 2019 (Cedar Rapids)
The NewBo Run Half Marathon & 10K features Prairie Park, Sac and Fox Trail and the Indian Creek Nature Center. Both races start and finish in the NewBo arts and entertainment district of Cedar Rapids. Many of the neighborhood’s favorite businesses support the run with fresh-baked treats, locally-brewed beer and hand-crafted half-marathon finisher medals. Join us on Labor Day Weekend!
Saturday, September 29th, 2018 (Marion)
Join us for a fall classic in Marion, IA! The Swamp Fox 5K, 10K and Little Fox Mile is a family fun event and a part of the city wide festival. The start and finish is in downtown Marion by the depot in the park. NEW FOR 2018: 10K!
Saturday, October 6th, 2018 (Amana)
Timber Trek is a 4.8 mile Adventure Run. The race includes cross country trails, giant hay-bales, creek crossings, a steep gully with ropes, and many log obstacles. PREPARE TO GET DIRTY! After the race, stick around for the post-race party with where we’ll be rockin’ the polka tunes, grilling Amana bratwurst, and pouring local Big Grove Beer.
Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018 (Solon)
The Indian Summer Distance Classic is a 10 mile and 4 mile race held at Lake Macbride State Park. The course winds next to the lakeshore on a soft, limestone trail. The trail is well maintained and there are a few short stretches of asphalt. There’s one significant hill about 1/2 mile from the start which you will ascend right before the finish. The views are beautiful and the times are fast. Join us for this fall classic!
