The 2018 Corridor Running racing season has come to an end.
However, the year is not over, make sure you are adding your events to the circuit, and we will host social runs on Thanksgiving and word on the street is the return of the Ugly “Sweat”er Run.
On September 29th, in partnership with the City of Marion, we hosted the Swamp Fox Race. New for 2018 was a 10k. While it was a cool, overcast day we still had a great event with speedy times. When the race was over the club was an entry in the Swamp Fox Festival Parade.
On October 6th, we hosted the 10th annual Timber Trek obstacle and mud run in Amana. The rains from the previous week made for an adventurous course. However, we had a record number of participants with smiles on their faces!
Finally to end the season, on October 13th it was time for the Indian Summer Distance Classic. This event is held near Lake MacBride, which provided the perfect backdrop for a fall race, complete with post race apples from the local orchard.
We can’t thank you enough for continuing to support our events. Without the members, participants and volunteers these things do not happen. You make it possible to help keep running “local.”
Please stay up to date with our social events by signing up for our newsletter “The Torch,” or following us on social media.
