Corridor Running was originally known as Cedar Valley Running Association, or simply CVRA. The organization came together in 1982 when a group of friends made it a habit to meet for regular group runs at Noelridge Park in Cedar Rapids. Some of the original members were C.J. Ong, Jr., Martin Smith, Peggy Kirby, Jim Shimek, and Larry Fauchier.
